We are a group of 18 Ranger Guides and 3 Leaders from Heron Rangers in East London and we are part of Girlguiding which is the leading charity for girls and young women in the UK. This August we are going on an adventure to South Africa, Zambia and Malawi. We will be partnering with The Book Bus charity to deliver lessons to two schools, one in eastern Zambia and the other in Malawi. Follow our blog to see what we get up to on our adventure.

Day 14: School and pool day
We started our morning excited, ready for our second day at school. It was so great returning to the same place we had been the previous day as the children were equally excited to see us again and we were eager to get started on our lessons. The whole day at school was very successful, as in it was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone and we were all quick to talk about "our kids" and how brilliant they are. We also started boxing up books from the current library room in preparation for the adaptions we are going to make. On our way back, instead of having our lunch at camp, we stopped outside the hotel which our campsite is a part of and ate there as we went to use the lovely swimming pool they have on site. Some of us also got to see the local craftsmen working on our specific orders and seeing how they were all hand made. We had a much needed, refreshing few hours free time at the pool after our busy school day, so we were able to relax for a while. After, we strolled along the lake side beach back to camp, set up for dinner and prepared our lesson plans for the next day.
