Today we woke up at seven to the news that an elephant had, yet again, walked past our tents in the night! He then hung around the pool for over an hour feeding.
Doc (our driver) got the group iPod working so we could listen to music throughout our bumpy drive to the school which took us an hour and a half to reach despite it being only 9 miles away. In our lessons today we had grades 5 to 7 which meant they were more interested in learning than doing crafts. The group felt that the students benefitted more from our books and activities.
On the way back from school we stopped off at a local bakery and some of us got of to see what a Zambian shop was like. We were surprised to find that it was simply a stall or a small room filled with shelves of products from floor to ceiling. When we finally got back to camp we had a quick lunch then most of us jumped into the pool to cool down and relax. We had a delicious Braai (barbecue) before packing our bags for an early start tomorrow as we have a sunrise safari!

P.S We just heard Lions roaring on the other side of the river... Fingers crossed for a sighting tomorrow morning!
